In a world that is becoming more reliant than ever on technology, it comes as no surprise that those who struggle to use technology are left feeling lonely. More and more frequently there are articles on the damaging effects of loneliness on all people, but especially the elderly. That is why Hog Roast Naas were absolutely delighted to be contacted by the event organisers at Naas’s social club; their event was one that really touched the hearts of the team. The brief was simple: create a buffet that would enchant the elderly guests and help to make them feel full, warm and loved.
With a guest list of sixty five old age pensioners, Hog Roast Naas wanted to make sure that the menu would be loved by all. The clients worked closely with the team to alter one of the buffet package menus in order to create a bespoke list of foods that would thrill the guests. No detail was forgotten, the team and clients wanted to make sure that the catering element of the event would be just as actively social as the rest of the event; they planned on lots of food choice and social interaction for the guests with the wait staff. As such, it was decided that the team would provide lots of friendly and experienced wait staff, to ensure a lively ambience with plenty of people to mingle with.
The venue had a lovely kitchen space for Hog Roast Naas to work in, including space for the Hog Roast machine. Yet the team did not work laboriously just to create succulent hog rolls, there was a whole variety of other delicious concoctions, ranging from potato wedges, to stuffing, to vegetable skewers and other options for those who follow a non-meat based diet.
The event was a wonderful success, the food was enjoyed by all the guests and the clients were delighted by the hard work the friendly team had put into the afternoon. It was smiles all round as Hog Roast Naas served a mouth-watering buffet and served the guests with a willingness and chatter that warmed their guest’s hearts.
