We get all our meat from local farmers who share our commitment to quality. By sourcing locally, we cut down on the carbon footprint that comes with long-distance transportation. Plus, we work with farmers who follow ethical practices, making sure animal welfare is always a top priority. In doing so, we’re supporting local farming communities as well as doing our part to protect the environment. Did you know that hog roasting creates very little waste? Unlike traditional cuts of meat, a whole hog roast follows a “nose-to-tail” approach, making sure that as much of the animal as possible is used (which helps minimise waste). And if there are any leftovers, you can easily re-purpose them for future meals, such as a delicious hog roast sandwich. It’s a win-win!
Where possible, Hog Roast Galway also use biodegradable or reusable plates, cups, and cutlery, as opposed to single-use plastics. And for formal events, we of course, use our finest China and silverware, which is re-used time and time again.
