This January, Hog Roast Cahir was contacted by Liz to provide catering at the community centre where she volunteers. Liz organises a variety of events at the centre for local people to enjoy, with something for everyone to enjoy. This time, she is hosting a movie night with snacks and a delicious meal from Hog Roast Cahir on offer. We discussed several of our buffet menus with Liz and it was decided that our gourmet BBQ menu was the ideal choice, since it includes a wide variety of dishes and has something for every guest to enjoy.
On the day of the movie night, the Hog Roast Cahir team arrived at the centre in the afternoon and set up our catering station in the kitchen. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, halloumi and vegetable skewers, juicy British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. Additionally, we served homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. The movie began playing at 7:00pm and our menu was served during the interval, which took place during the middle of the movie. We served our menu buffet style, with each guest lining up to choose which dishes they wanted to enjoy. We had plenty for every guest to enjoy, including enough for seconds at the end of the evening!
