January has been an exciting month for Hog Roast Tramore, which has seen our schedule crammed full of bookings for an all manner of different events, and one of our most recent came from proud new parents Julia and Steven who had asked us to cater for their baby girl, Hannah’s Christening. Having added 70 of their closest friends and family members to the guest list, the couple were looking for a diverse menu that would suit everyone’s needs, while still maintaining a low-key and relaxed vibe for the special occasion.
At Hog Roast Tramore, we are proud to offer a diverse range of catering packages which can be easily customised by our clients to suit whatever event they have planned, and for this family celebration, Julia and Steven had agreed upon our classic hog roast buffet-style feast, with a meat-free alternative of grilled veggie skewers and our recently launched, loaded fries as a side dish. The couple were both shocked and relieved by how simple it had been to book an event with the help of our skilful catering crew, which gave them more time to spend as a family ahead of the highly-anticipated ceremony.
On the day of the Christening, the Hog Roast Tramore catering crew travelled to a nearby town hall where they set up our Hogmaster Pro in the spacious function hall and got started on preparing the pig. As our catering manager took charge of scoring the skin and rubbing the meat with salt before cooking it over a low flame, the rest of the team pieced together the vegetable skewers which they grilled and served with flatbreads and tzatziki dip.
With the main meals taken care of, the crew turned their attention to the golden fries which they generously dressed with jalapenos, crunchy coleslaw and carvings of the succulent meat. As the guests began to arrive, they were immediately taken aback by the mouth-watering scents that filled the room and the stunning view of the hog roast centrepiece which had been expertly carved to show off the juicy meat inside.
We’re pleased to say that the food exceeded the client’s expectations and their guests couldn’t get enough of the wholesome flavours on offer!
