A wedding on Valentine’s Day has to be booked well in advance, as the day is so full of loving festivity. The team at Hog Roast Newbridge had been planning and preparing for this Valentine’s Day wedding reception for a very long time, as the client’s had booked it with the team a whole 18 months ago! It was to be an event on a grand scale.
The happy couple had invited 150 of their closest friends and family to attend their wedding reception. The menu for the event was absolutely exquisite; the couple worked with the team to make food selections that would enchant all the guests.
The event was a formal sit down dinner, so not only would the team be making and preparing the dishes fresh on site, they would also be serving it to all the dazzlingly dressed guests.
The menu the clients selected had five courses: canapés upon arrival to the venue, starters to be served to the table, a main course of either spit roasted chicken or whole roasted salmon which was to be served buffet style, a selection of two delicious desserts to be served to the table and an after of fresh tea and coffee and mints. The overall menu was designed to be hearty and elegant, marrying together formality and enjoyment.
In order to be ready for the 6pm start of serving time at the hotel venue, the large team from Hog Roast Newbridge arrived at the venue around midday. Every dish was made and cooked with love and attention, in the hours leading up to the event. When the guests started to arrive at the beautiful venue the serving team was ready with the mini pizza, halloumi kebab and mini veggie burger canapés, mixing and mingling amongst the happy guests.
The event was hard work but the team pulled together and it was a big success. The happy couple and their guests were well fed and partied the night away, very satisfied with the service provided by Hog Roast Newbridge.
