Hog Roast Limerick – Leaving party

We at Hog Roast Limerick received an email from two young ladies who wanted us to cater a leaving party for a very close friend of theirs. This friend, very enviably, was jetting off to Australia and they wanted to send her off to Oz with a full belly and great memories. After looking through our extensive selection of menu’s online, they opted for our Private Menu Party Option 5 – this was a great option as it would ensure that all their friends and family would be able to sit down and enjoy just being together. Some of their friends and family were also vegetarian and we made sure that everyone would be well taken care of.

Hog Roast LimerickThe part the girls liked best about this menu is that there were the canapés for the guests on arrival, a buffet for the main and that the dessert would be served at the table at the end of the meal. It sounded like the perfect mix of formal and relaxed.

The weather couldn’t have been more spectacular for Hog Roast Limerick to cater in, as we rolled up a very extravagant driveway toward a large house with a great garden. There was plenty of room and judging by all the decorations already set up, they were planning a grand leaving do. We set up with plenty of time to make sure everything was in place when the guests began to arrive.

The champagne was served and so were the canapés, including mini pizza, wild mushroom Bouchees, dim sum, Peking duck wraps, and feta skewers. All of which were gratefully devoured. The slow-roasted pig with apple sauce, stuffing and crispy crackling, and the sirloin of roast beef with Yorkshire puddings were a great choice for this particular party. We met the guest of honour and she was so moved by the work her friends had put in.

The Hog Roast Limerick party tucked into the ample fair and as the speeches (all of which were very heartfelt and moving) came to an end, we presented the chosen desserts to the guests at their tables. The cheesecake and profiteroles were especially popular. As the celebrations continued we discretely removed all the rubbish and tidied away everything from the site. It was clear to see that this young lady was going to be very missed by her friends and family and we had thoroughly enjoyed being part of her send-off.
