Well, we have officially entered September which means the cold nights are about to start drawing in and we can all wave goodbye to the sporadic British summer. Not without one last Hog Roast Kilkenny BBQ though to see us off!
This weekend we were out and about catering an event for our lovely client Jess. Jess had booked us in at the start of the summer after hosting a garden party for her family and friends. At the time she told us she was certain she would be having another Hog Roast Kilkenny before the summer was up and now that time had finally rolled around.
Jess had decided to organise the same sort of garden party again this time for just thirty guests and she would be hosting from her private home. One of the things that makes Hog Roast Kilkenny unique in fact is our ability to cater from just about anywhere. All we need is access to water and electricity, and plenty of ventilation and we are good to go!
For this event we arrived mid-morning to get set up under our gazebo and to get the food prepared and cooking away. On the menu were the classic BBQ components of butcher’s selection burgers and sausages that we would be continuously cooking throughout the afternoon to keep everyone topped up when they no doubt return for seconds. We also prepared some satay chicken skewers and sweet and sticky BBQ kebabs for a moreish flavour. For the vegetarian option Jess decided to choose our grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs after they went down so well the last time. Finished up with jacket potatoes, corn on the cobb and plenty of salads we were all set for the last BBQ of the summer…
