Lots of events have a theme, Hog Roast Kildare’s latest event was a very beautiful 1950s themed wedding reception. The clients had a milkshake stand alongside the Hog Roast Kildare buffet and with all the guests and happy couple in their 1950s inspired fashion, it was just like stepping back in time! There was bunting all around and lots of big smiles as the newlyweds made their way around their guests.
The clients wanted a luxurious buffet for their guests to enjoy. As such, they chose to use Hog Roast Kildare’s finest china crockery and cutlery for the event, which was taking place in a large field with a marquee providing shelter, seating and a dance floor. The 30 guests were all treated to a fabulous buffet that the clients worked with the team to create the menu for and that after the buffet had been enjoyed the Catering Manager would discreetly tidy up, leaving the guests and couple able to enjoy their evening.
The exciting buffet for the wedding reception included the delicious meaty treats of: BBQ 100% Beef 6oz handmade burgers, chefs own gourmet sausage and spit roasted spring lamb seasoned with rosemary served with mint and a mustard & dill sauce. Plus there was also a tasty vegetarian alternative for those guests who didn’t want to consume meat. Also on offer at the serving table was seasonal vegetables and delicious warm new potatoes in herb butter.
All of those incredible treats were made by hand by the Catering Manager at the beautiful venue where the wedding reception was taking place. The Chef arrived at the venue by 11am, so that at the 5pm serving time absolutely every serving platter would be piled high with food and be ready to be enjoyed by the wedding party and guests.
The reception went off without a hitch. In the beautiful light of early evening and sunset the happy couple and their guests danced the night away to vintage tunes. It was a beautiful event that the team felt proud to have been a part of.
