Over the years, Hog Roast Gorey has completed more bookings than we could ever count, leaving many happy and contented clients in our wake as a result of the exceptional food and customer service combo we provide. But one thing we live for is making long-lasting connections with the clients we serve…
Just last weekend, our team had the privilege of re-visiting some of our earlier clients, Sarah and John. After helping the pair celebrate their love for one another five years ago to the date, we were excited to receive another booking from them. This time, hoping to celebrate their wooden wedding anniversary with the rustic charm of our southern slow roast spread (which had also been served as their wedding breakfast!) the couple had invited us to set up our catering station in the back garden of their home.
Hoping to mark the special occasion accordingly, the couple had invited 30 people to their get-together, and among the guests was a handful of vegetarians and vegans. So, adding to the menu, Hog Roast Gorey decided to include our newest meat-free addition of BBQ pulled jackfruit, which has been a huge hit among all those vegans and vegetarians who have been invited to our events recently.
Sarah and John loved this idea since it perfectly complemented the rest of the menu. For everyone else, BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs were to be served alongside inclusive side options of Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, mixed salads with tropical fruit slices, potato wedges and golden fries smothered with jalapenos and melted cheddar cheese served in wooden bowls alongside matching crockery and cutlery.
To give themselves enough time to prepare the flavoursome banquet, Hog Roast Gorey made sure to arrive a good few hours early at the client’s home, and after catching up with the lovely couple, they got down to business. It turned out, most of the guests who arrived to celebrate the anniversary had also been present at the wedding, and they were happy to see our catering team was taking care of the food for this occasion too.
