A local business contacted Hog Roast Castlejordan earlier this year to arrange catering for their upcoming recruitment day. The company run lots of events for children and young people to take part in and summer is their busiest season due to the school holidays. To make up for the increase in demand, they usually hire a new intake of staff just before the summer season begins. To do so, the company organised a recruitment day that would make the process as efficient as possible. Alongside the interviews and activities, Hog Roast Castlejordan was hired to provide a delicious buffet lunch for the staff and applicants to enjoy. After looking through our menus, it was decided that a classic hog roast was ideal for the occasion.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Castlejordan team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare for the 2:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before being carved by our team. For meat-free guests, we served BBQ pulled jackfruit. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alongside the rolls, we also served a selection of seasonal salad dishes and homemade chips. This created a balanced and varied meal, with plenty to go around.
