Laura and her fiancé got engaged earlier this month and planned to host a beautiful engagement party at their home in Ireland to break the news to their friends and family. The couple got engaged while on holiday in Europe which meant that they could celebrate together as a couple during their break. Once they returned home, they got to work on planning the party to share the news with their loved ones. For the party catering, our manager Nathan was hired to provide a classic hog roast at the event, since this would be the ideal menu for the occasion. As well as the catering, the couple planned to enjoy plenty of drinks and music in their home which had been perfectly decorated for the occasion.
On the day of the party, Nathan and his team arrived at the venue and got to work on preparing the menu. We began by setting up our catering station in the back garden and getting the hog roasting. Once the meat was perfectly cooked and filled with natural juices and flavours, it was time to carve it and serve slices of pork in fresh bread rolls. The rolls were accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alongside the main dishes, we also served homemade chips and a selection of fresh salad dishes to create a varied and nutritious menu.
