Last week Hog Roast Rockbrook’s catering manager Nathan had the pleasure of doing a gourmet delivery drop off in Dublin. The lovely Veronica had organised a surprise luncheon for staff members.
The very lucky staff members indulged in Hog Roast Rockbrook’s classic hog roast rolls. Slowly roasted free-range pork. The roasting joint was rubbed with salt and massaged into the skin with water to ensure quality crackling. It was roasted slowly on a low heat so that the meat was incredibly tender and extremely juicy! The heavenly pulled pork was enjoyed with a spoonful of sage and onion stuffing, (rosemary and onion stuffing for those who were gluten free) and a drizzle of either traditional bramble apple or Texan-BBQ sauce.
The staff members had a choice of roll to enjoy the succulent meat and tasteful stuffing in; wholemeal, soft white, crusty, or cheesy with a popular choice of a tortilla wrap – between you and me, you can fit more in a wrap making it that much more indulgent!
To accompany the heavenly roll, Nathan provided a seasonal mixed salad, homemade crunchy coleslaw, and herbed new potatoes. The freshly prepared mixed salad was a medley of different lettuce leaves, cucumber, celery, spring onions and cherry tomatoes. The homemade coleslaw was completed with a sprinkling of lemon zest and a squirt of lemon juice. The herbed new potatoes were enjoyed with a blanket of melted butter and mixed herbs. An absolute feast!
Veronica and another were coeliac, so Nathan had to make sure that the meat, accompaniments, and sauces were gluten free. Hog Roast Rockbrook takes allergies and food intolerances so happily obliged with gluten free stuffing, rubs, sauces, and dressings.
At 1:50pm Nathan arrived on site with the delicious meal at the ready for the guests to eat at 2pm. Everything was steaming as they unpacked the temperature-controlled boxes. Many compliments were received as the meal was a complete hit with Veronica’s work colleagues.
