Riley and Izzy grew up on the same street and quickly became childhood sweethearts. Their relationship grew stronger as they attended the same schools and universities, before settling into their first home together earlier this year. On the day that they moved in together, Riley proposed and Izzy was overjoyed to say yes! To celebrate, the couple decided to host a joint housewarming and engagement party, inviting 50 of their close friends and family. After speaking to our catering manager Nathan, they decided on hiring Hog Roast Camus to provide our classic Southern Slow Roast menu for the occasion.
The event took place in July, so we set up our catering station in the back garden. We began by preparing our meats, including a BBQ pork butt, Lousiana sticky pork ribs, and a pulled quarter of minted lamb. We also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit as a meat-free option. Alongside the mains, we prepared corn cobbettes, mac and cheese, seasonal vegetables and potato salad. This menu also includes Hog Roast Camus’ secret recipe sauces: smoky-sweet BBQ glaze, Cajun hot pepper sauce, and hickory bourbon BBQ sauce.
