Community gatherings that celebrate local talent is something that the Hog Roast Mullingar team can’t get enough of, especially when the attendees can’t get enough of our slow-roasted pork either! Being the number one supplier of hog roasts in the area makes us a popular choice for lots of public events and we were delighted last week when we were asked to provide some of our superior slow roasted pork at a local music festival!
It was expected to be a hugely busy event and the organisers wanted a catering option that celebrated local produce, whilst also being suitable for feeding a large crowd. They found the winning combination they were looking for here at Hog Roast Mullingar and thought we would be the ideal catering option for the day! We agreed with them and we couldn’t wait to get stuck in!
We arrived on-site bright and early and spent the morning slow roasting our prize pork until it was brimming with natural flavour and falling off the bone! By the time the festival gates opened, the aroma of our slow roasted meat filled the air and was sure to get lots of stomachs rumbling!
Whilst the talented local musicians impressed the crowd, we were working just as hard to keep everyone well fed throughout the day. Our hog roast sandwiches were very well received by everyone who tried them, and it was the ideal food to tuck into whilst enjoying the music and the sunshine! Our serving table proved to be a very popular stopping point all day long, but our quick thinking catering assistants didn’t keep anyone waiting for long!
A little bit of hog roast goes a long way and as the music died down and the crowd started to thin, there was still plenty left for seconds! We received great feedback all day about our pork and the music festival organisers were very glad that they chose Hog Roast Mullingar to cater for the event. The day was a great success all round and we were thrilled that our food played a significant part in it!
