Hog Roast Longford cater for Stacey’s housewarming party!

When Stacey asked Hog Roast Longford to cater her housewarming party, she had one thing in mind – our famous, in-demand pigs in buns (which you may know yourself as hog roast rolls), where we roast a pig for hours on end and then fill floury bread rolls and wraps with hot meat and salty crackling carved straight off once it has cooked perfectly, and top with delicious apple sauce and stuffing – both our homemade favourites. Once tried, our pigs in buns are never forgotten.

With Hog Roast Longford, there’s no need to be worried at all, though, as we have plenty of variety and choice to make sure everyone you invite to your event or party is catered with a delicious, suitable dish. Simply let us know your needs in advance of your special occasion and we’ll make sure everyone is catered for.

Stacey let us know that she needed a gluten-free option and a vegetarian dish, and for the latter, she decided on our popular veggie skewers, which have chunks of halloumi and various fresh vegetables that are grilled and served with pitta bread and Tzatziki. In terms of the gluten-free option, we let her know that if those guests wanted to enjoy our pigs in buns like most of the guests, they could, as all we would need to do was take along additional suitable bread rolls. Stacey was happily surprised and booked us in for just that.

It came round to the day of Stacey’s housewarming party on Friday, and while we were due to serve after 7pm, it takes several hours to roast a hog to absolute perfection, so our Hog Roast Longford chef got cracking preparing the meat and then set it cooking at a low temperature.

After hours of watching over the hog roast, our team prepared the halloumi, mushrooms, tomatoes, courgette, red onion and mixed peppers for the skewers and grilled them, prepared the ingredients for the pigs in buns and set them out on the serving table next to plenty of condiments and fresh bread rolls and wraps, including the gluten-free ones, and then Stacey’s guests arrived, who just couldn’t wait to dig in.
