Lauren works at a publishing company in Ireland and is in charge of hosting networking and publicity events for her authors. With Christmas approaching, she hosted an early festive event to share information about authors within the company, with the hopes of boosting book sales in the run-up to Christmas. The event was set to take place at a city hall, with a dining room being converted into a networking room, equipped with places to chat and plenty of room for a buffet station. For the catering, Lauren contacted Hog Roast Coolgreany to hire our team to cater for the occasion. Our catering manager Nathan was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, which is bound to go down a treat with the 200 guests in attendance.
On the day of the networking event, the Hog Roast Coolgreany team arrived at the venue and Nathan started to set up our catering station. We began prep by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once ready, the sliced meat was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. The mains were accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes. Overall, this created a varied and tasty menu, with plenty to go around. Our catering was a great addition to the event and gave the guests another thing to chat about!
